Passion

It is interesting that the root of Passion, “passio” actually means “suffering,” or “being acted upon.” The most common meaning of passion is “an emotion that is deeply stirring or ungovernable.”

So passion, really, is that driving force that propels us to put an end to the suffering of showing up LESS than who we really are, and compels us to follow or pursue something with GREAT intensity.

Passion drives us to pursue our “calling” no matter what the “cost.” It is that inescapable, unavoidable desire to express ourselves. Passion defies rationality, in the sense that when you’re passionate about something, you become “it.” It overtakes you. You are no longer being guided by that “small voice” in your head, but by that “urging” for that deeper connection, that greater expression. Passion is Spirit nudging you to step up to the plate; to live the life of joy, peace, abundance, vibrant health, expression and expansion.

The driving force behind passion is LOVE. What do you love? Who do you love?

People want more passion in their lives and in their relationships. There is “something” inside of us that yearns for greater expression, yearns to express love fully. Something inside us that “knows” that we are meant to live in complete love and complete bliss. Something inside us that won’t accept anything less.

What does your heart, your internal compass, long for? What is it that you love so much, that you get lost in it? What gives you life? Can you turn your passion into your career? Can you experience that passion of your very first kiss on an ongoing basis in your current relationship? Can you experience the passion of a child holding its’ first puppy or kitten? What about the passion of creating a piece of art, a marvelous dinner, or a deep, intriguing conversation?

I mentioned earlier that passion was the driving force behind moving into greater expression, or following your dream, but it is more than the driving force, it IS you. You ARE what you are passionate about. While passion catapults you into greater expression by driving you to pursue your deepest longing, you ARE your deepest longing. You ARE your greatest desire. You ARE love personified. Your PASSIONS reveal the Truth of who you ARE!

Passion is your internal guidance system; it is Spirit speaking through you to claim that which you desire. What you desire, wants you. What you are passionate about, wants you.

The only question is: will you follow that passion, or that internal guidance, that is urging you to express yourself in the most loving, most miraculous, grandest way? Passion is speaking through you now, what is it saying? This is what passion says to me; live FULLY, ENJOY every moment, love BIG, EXPRESS yourself, REMEMBER the Truth of who you ARE!
