If we make a conscious effort to listen to, validate, and understand
the views and opinions of others, perhaps--as a race--we can ALL finally
begin to appreciate and celebrate our diversity for the wondeful gift that it is.
Perhaps we will ALL one day finally see that we truly are ONE SPIRIT.

Greetings from this small city gal with the small world dream!

Up until the age of twelve, I was raised in a normal family . . . and then my father entered politics, :-) By the time he retired in 1989, I had learned more than I wanted to, not only about politics and politicians but about people in general. I believe those experiences - as well as others, of course - have helped bring me to where I am today . . . someone who makes conscious choices that are right for me. For the most part, I have removed myself from society and societal norms that no longer make sense. Instead, I find solace and happiness within, embracing the simple life and the solitude that brings me peace and contentment as I endeavour to spread love and light wherever I can.

I love animals and my S/O and I currently share our lives with 3 cats - Merlyn, Mylo, and Misty - and a male cockatiel - Kelly. When not in front of the computer, I enjoy reading, writing, jigsaw puzzles, walking, volunteering, and continuing on my spiritual journey. Other interests include the paranormal, prophecy, the holocaust, animal welfare, human rights, etc..

I am loyal, sincere, and known to be quite frank . . . I simply call it honest, :-) I am very passionate about causes I believe in. If I accept a task, I give it everything I've got! I don't like small talk, hate telephones, and love people who make me laugh. Although I've never been to the United States, I have done a bit of travelling and have visited England, Scotland, Wales, Turkey, Greece, Italy, the former Yugoslavia, and several of the Canadian provinces.

I began working (part-time) at the age of 14 and have diplomas/certificates in Project Management; Managing People; Creative Writing & Journalism; Non-Fiction Writing; and Medical Transcription. I am a mandala artist, and an Active Media Consultant.

I feel privileged to be able to work at things I love so much and am indeed happiest when I am creating, whether that be through writing, digital art, publishing, web site design, or transcribing.

One of my greatest desires has always been to reach out to others . . . to really make a difference in the world! I realized a long time ago that any efforts to do so would be even more successful if I could bring like-minded people together to work towards that goal with me. People who share my dream of making the world a better place for everyone. I recognized the potential of the internet for helping to make that dream a reality, and so in August of 1997 I formed my first on-line group . . . and the rest, as they say, is history, :-)

Other online activities have included Community Leader with GeoCities, hosting two (2) Lifetips.com sites, Editor for three (3) categories of BriefMe Ezines, and a Romance and Relationships Xpert with AskMe.com. For several years, I also published two (2) eZines, Eye On Sleep and Spirit Voices.

Some of my off-line activities/memberships include:

  • Current Member, Simon Wisenthal Center, 1997 -
  • Current Member, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), 1993 -
  • Current child sponsor through World Vision Canada, 1988 -

  • Vice-President, Provincial Chapter of Sleep/Wake Disorders Canada, 1991-1992
  • Participant in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, 1987

Enough about me . . . I'm so glad you've found your way to the One Spirit Project and sincerely hope that you will enjoy your time here! I invite you to join us as we seek to enlighten and support each other on our individual paths to wholeness. Together we can make a difference!

Namaste . . .
