By the Grace of God : An Adult Child's Journey Through Cancer Loss and Afterlife Connections
Join internationally known Psychic Medium Penny Clark Babson through this journey of loss, love, and understanding. Eugene Clark died of lung cancer in August 2000. Not only did he leave behind four grown children, a wife, and several grandchildren, but he left his daughter with a better understanding about life and the feeling of a bond that no time, space or even realm could diminish. Flashbacks of Penny’s youth in the southeastern Vermont town of West Pawlet add to the love expressed with this then low-income family and its lifelong struggles. Included are afterlife poems written by Mrs. Babson and unknown authors, as well as stories of afterlife connections she has received from her father and places to write your own afterlife connections.

Attitude Is Everything by Jeff Keller
The content of this book seems to be a story of my life. I also went through a time where I was very down and negative. One day I decided to change my life by changing my thinking. I read books on attitude and listened to motivational tapes until I did indeed, change my thoughts and change my life. I also made a commitment years ago to dedicate my life to helping others realize that we create our own destinies. Jeff did a great job laying out the "lessons" it took me SO many years to learn, in one easy to read, motivational masterpiece that teaches "real" happiness.
160 Ways to Help the World: Community Service Projects for Young People by Linda Leeb Duper
This is a great book for mentoring programs, schools, local neighborhood communities, church groups, and after-school programs (or even regular school curriculums). Clearly written and well formatted, it contains information about how to get started on community projects to help others and keep kids interested and stimulated beyond the modern TV and video watching activities, whether it be under adult supervision or even how to start to get the adult support kids need to be able to do the projects mentioned. Descriptive outlines of what you need to do are extremely helpful and easy to follow - the author seems to know how to connect to a young audience and keep the older ones interested, too, using contemporary language and tidbits of her own experiences in some cases. A great resource for teachers, community leaders, churches, and neighborhood activists who want to get their kids more involved and active with services to others.
17 Lies That Are Holding You Back & the Truth That Will Set You Free by Steve Chandler
Steve Chandler's third book, 17 Lies That Are Holding You Back & The Truth That Will Set You Free, is an excellent, hard-to-put-down, fast read. Here he calls attention to the myriad of incorrect assumptions that hold us hostage. Actually it's not simply the assumptions themselves; that's really just another deception. As he points out, we do it to ourselves by accepting the lies and arguing for our limitations. By seeing through the lies, we may quit deceiving ourselves and thus move forward through life with enthusiasm and joy. Steve Chandler helps us to achieve profound shifts through his clear, non-fuzzy thinking and writing. If you don't get it after reading this book , no doubt there's a favorite lie that you use to undermine your ability to set yourself free.
